A unique antique Yemeni "bird" necklace 03.01.1346

Comment from Gilles Bourquin on  Ethnic Jewels Community.  That is right..the upper part is a sophisticate lebbah called "abu tuyur" father of the birds, 3 or 4 lower parts are missing, and have been set with cones coming from a"40 cones" usually stringed on a red piece of cotton.( and the work is very similar )
Those abu tuyur necklaces seem from a ottoman or middle east origin..not basically Yemeni...whatever, they were produced (early xxth) by the 2 major craftmen of Sana'a , ahmed al Bowsani and yahya al Bedyahi..who have left a big print in the silver souk....
A nice piece anyway.......
