The women of Tidjikja make these "ǝlbayt" snuffboxes with extreme care in a purely Mauritanian style.They are elongated and have three or four pockets with flaps so that a snuffbox is "leafed". These "wargāt" leaves bear the names of the various objects that are stored in the snuffbox: the tobacco leaf, the tinder, the lighter and the pipe cleaner.
