Fulani forged iron bar 07.02.378

From North East Nigeria,border area to Cameroon. Origin from an ex-Vienna private collection. They were called Losol by the Eastern Fulani and Tajere (Tajt plural.) by the Western Fulani. In 1934 they were worth a penny or less.

Within the Jukun tribe 100 Losol were needed to by a slave in early 1900.
