Small women's pipe from South Sudan 21.01.1591

Southern Sudan probably woman's pipe made in 3 parts. The pipe head is made out of black clay. The stem has been made from a cut piece of lightweight yellow wood, the wood has longitudinal grain and may belong to the bamboo family. A brass mouthpiece has been force-fitted onto the upper end of this. Collected in 1975/6 in the Dinka area. The pipe contains still rests of tobacco.
