Wood and brass pipe from the Dinka tribe 21.01.1593

Beautiful large pipe from the Dinka tribe in Southern Sudan. Similar pipes can also be found among the Nuer and Shilluk. The wooden pipe head is decorated with brass incisions. The pipe stem is in brass. Similar pieces are in MEG (Musée d'Ethnographie Genève) Inv. No. ETHAF 041485 and ...83.The pipe head has rest of long tobacco use.
