Extraordinary Shulluk pipe 21.01.1584

Shilluk commoners call the tobacco pipe dak , while its royal name is labo, meaning earth or mud. The Shilluk use 2 types of dak – the dangduong and the dangthen. The former is kept within the family enclosure; the latter is more commonly used in public.
