An African sickle throwing knife called "Sengese" from Northern Cameroon. This type of weapon was used in Cameroon as well as in Nigeria. This knife has a heavy forged blade with carved decoration and has its original tribal patina. The handle is covered with a raphia rope.

A turned and decorated lidded spice box with a warm yellow, red and black colours, and natural markings of age. IThese boxes were used for spices like black pepper, cumin, tea, cinnamon, saffron, sugar, etc. This box was bought in the Swat vally (Northern Pakistan).

Such rings are worn by Fulani and Tuareg as hair or finger rings, as well as pendants. Their small diameter indicates that they were mostly worn as pendent, according to Brunner 2011 specialy by Azawagh women in the Aïr mountains.

The Akam (sing.) or Akman (plural) went from one side of the head to the other beneath the chin. It was worn throughout Northern Oman. The piece consists of two decorated triangular ends with a tear -drop shaped hook to attach them to the head cloth. They are made on a triangular base of rings, soldered together. The whole piece, the 2 triangular ends and the 6 chains linking them together is called Akam slsila, meaning "akam" with chains.

This necklace is of a type of work known as kamardani, but this example is of high quality. The style of chain is loop in loop with a hooked closure. The effect of the flexible, loop-in-loop chain is that its movement imitates that of a snake, which has associations in Hinduism with fertility and creation.

This headrest is made out of 2 pieces, which is not common among Ethiopian headrests. The base caracteristical Kafficho circular base has been made with the use of a woodturning lathe. Llathes have been used in Ethiopia for centuries, but curiously they never penetrated further into sub-Saharan Africafrica

Headrest carved from a single piece of yellowish brown wood. This is an example of 'found form', with a naturally grown branch specifically chosen because its shape, with subsidiary branches coming off the main stem to form the three feet, was suitable for making a headrest.

The shape of the Kissi money is rather odd. Its characteristic form is a twisted rod of iron with flattened ends: a flat, hoe-like spatula at one end (Nileng) and a sharpened ‘T’ at the other (Kodo) the bundle of 20 pieces was called Bournou. Kissi pennies were in use until mid 20th century.
