Omani "shibgat" necklace 03.01.125

Splendid necklace called "shibgat" from Central Oman. It is not strictly speaking a necklace as it is suspended from the ears. The present piece is a twoe-row "shibgat". Much use has been made of decorated gold leafs, both on the cross pieces and on the 2 strand chain. The coral coloured beads are interspersed with silver beads The top row of the necklace consists of oblong shapes, while te second row consists of diamond shapes.
