These two fine chains, to wear as bracelets are off snake-like suppleness. These chains are reminiscent of the sacred snake (nâga). "Among the notable nāgas of Buddhist tradition is Mucalinda Nagaraja and protector of the Buddha. This necklace is of a type of work known as kamardani, but this example is of high quality. The style of chain is loop in loop with a hooked closure. The effect of the flexible, loop-in-loop chain is that its movement imitates that of a snake, which has associations in Hinduism with fertility and creation.

This old Kuchi necklace wit its rectangular pendant has lots of clattering dangles and colorful beads, is in its original condition. Some glass inlets are missing, but given its age, it's still in fair condition. An item to collect or individual elements could also be used for original jewellery design. The Kuchi's live a pastoral nomadic lifestyle across Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.

This long hanging pectoral pendant was acquired in Eritrea in 1991. Rashaïda and Nubian women were these pectoral hangings. It comprises flat, engraved silver plates, and numerous dangles. There is a small loop at the top to allow suspension.
