Strand of 78 small. glass beads, many of them are chevron beads, some up to 5 layers. Some beads are rather old while others are more recent. A beautiful and rare strand to wear as such or use the beads for a new design.

Set of 9 bicone shaped (2 cones joined at their base) lapis beads. Great quality from Badakhshan (Afghanistan). Opaque quality, and fairly strong saturation blue body colour with pyrite and calcite inclusions. Great for making necklaces and bracelets. A small part of one bead is chipped off, see picture)

Nila (meaning “blue”) Beads found near Djenné in Mali. Their origin is unknown, but scholars guess they proceeded from Europe or the Middle East and arrived in West Africa through trade routes crossing the Sahara many centuries ago. The beads have a matte finish having been burried in the sands for Centuries. They all have their individual character as none of them are alike. These beads hark back to a time when beads traveled the Trade Routes and are approximately 1000 years old.

Another beautiful Necklace made of antiques so-called "Dogon" glass rings. It's in his original condition as it was collected in the 1960/70ties in Mali. Approximately 170 glass rings.

Turkana.

A bundle of 10 thin twisted iron rods, with a flat flower-like shape at one end and a sharpened T at the other. The T sharpened end with 2 points was called Kodo (foot) and the flower-like end was called Nileng (ear).

A turned box witrh warm red colours, and natural signs of age. These boxes were used for spices sugar, etc. Similar boxes are used in the Northern Frontier district of Pakistan, Pakistani-Afghan border areas and Punjab.

A turned and decorated lidded spice box with a warm yellow, red and black colours, and natural markings of age. It has a small lid on the top. These boxes were used for spices like black pepper, cumin, tea, cinnamon, saffron, etc.

An Ethiopian, probably Gurage, used wooden bowl. This used bowl is in excelent condition, no cracks. The bowl has a small "handle" with a hole for a string of twine as these bowls would traditionally be hung on the walls in the home when not in use.

This pendant was typical among the Gouin, the Karaboro, the Turka or the Toussian ethnic groups. According to Glar 2015, it was probably made by blacksmiths in Banfora. The 3 triangles represent a stylised chameleon; their bases are decorated with spirals

Tobacco pipe of white metal with cylindrical bowl ending in a point where the straight stem begins, stem end thin band and then short conical mouthpiece. Boiler undecorated but with filter tape. Stem with centerpiece quadriceps shaped with geometric decoration. The origin is probably Marocco, but not confirmed.
