Stripweaves are woven on a narrow loom and then sewing several widths together to form large rectangular wraps. The Fulani tribe weaves woollen blankets, but more common in West Africa are cotton strips. In West Africa strips very long strips, between 2,5 and 47 cm width, are woven. In category 10.09 you will find some parts which form the double-heddle loom from West Africa. Some stripweaves have been assembled in particular categories (Kente and some tie & Dies).
