Upper arm bracelet from Yemen and Nubia 02.01.327
These Armlets where used much as wedding ornaments of Yemeni brides and Rashaida women. The Rasahaida, are an Arabic tribe, who live in Eritrea and north Sudan. The present items were bought in 1992 in Asmara (Eritrea) Similar bracelets are present in the collection of the museum "Quai Branly" in Paris inventory number 71.1972.49.52 , 71.1972.49.48 and 71.1972.49.49, and the "Musée d'Etnographie de Genève (MEG) inv. No.ETHAF041579.
