Churning-rod holders or Ghurras, sometimes also called Neti are nicely sculpted objects used to keep the churning-stick upright. All Ghurras are made of three distinctive elements: a disciform end which may be open or closed which holds the churning stick. The more the ghurra has been used the more this ring shows signs of use. The second element can be in various shape can bear various symbolic pattern, but terminates typically with a ring, a hook or an eye to attach the ghurra to a post or any other fixed attach.
