Large triangular Omani Digg necklace 03.01.147

The lower part of the digg consists of a rigid bar which lays across the breast has a round, gold plated central bead. On each side of the central bead are 2 silver beads and one coral bead. The horizontal part ends with a heavy bunch of twisted strands of tiny silver beads. At the end of the bunched strands is a large silver beads followed by a gold plated "hirz" an amulet box . The necklace is threaded on a thick rope of cotton.

A similar piece is in the British Museum, number 2009,6023.212
